Famous fingers- celebrities and their love of Irish claddagh rings
John F. Kennedy- The town of Claddagh lies on the outskirts of the
city of Galway. In the center of the city is Eyre Square, which was
renamed John F. Kennedy Park in the 1970s. John F. Kennedy and Jackie
Kennedy visited Galway in 1963 and were given a set of Irish Claddagh rings.
John Wayne- The movie "Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara
was filmed in Ireland in the village of Cong. When in Ireland, you can go
on the Quiet Man Walking Tour and pick up an Irish Claddagh ring just like the
Duke.
Ronald Reagan- The people of Claddagh presented a Claddagh ring to
Ronald Reagan in 1984
Maureen O'Hara- I'm sure the ring looked prettier on Maureen's finger than
on the Duke's
